Head Tale

My mom’s sister comes to visit once a year for a month (and twice a year since my mom’s dementia has become worse).

This trip she brought a thumb drive with a whole bunch of scanned photos including pics of her trips over the years, pics of my parents, sister & I over the years from birth until now (won’t lie – I started crying when I saw scans of my mom’s baby book – something I didn’t even realise existed!), and even some historical photos including one of the first producing oil wells on my grandfather’s land in SE Saskatchewan (I think that’s my mom on the far right with dark hair, my grandpa in the ball cap, my aunt obscured by the pump but standing in front of him, my grandma between grandpa and mom.  I’m not sure but think the man on the left is one of my grandpa’s brothers (or possibly someone connected to the oil company?) I’m not sure who the two little kids are – possibly some neighbour kids?
