Were you in NY last weekend?! (Or is this not a Jason snap?) I was there from Thurs-Mon.
I wish it was but nope, not a Jason snap this time around.
I just wanted to do something for 9/11 that wasn’t too political or mawkish. I was doing lots of reading about 9/11 and thought a photo of where the reconstruction was at might be a nice touch.
How was your trip? Did you see the 9/11 site?
Had a great visit. Did lots of NY things but kind of stayed away from Ground Zero. Didn’t want to get caught up in any anti-“Mosque” protests, etc. We did see quite a few people carrying white flowers and several police/firefighters in dress uniform with their families. Another friend of mine who lives in NY attended an annual memorial with some friends for a friend of theirs who died that day. It was a beautiful day, just like 9 yrs ago… I did visit the site & info centre last fall. Very emotional without being overly political.
