One advantage of being incredibly sick for the past few days…my first ever steroid prescription (legal, that is – back when I was a pro wrestler in the 80's, I was on the juice quite heavily of course.)
I have a very supportive family:
My father-in-law: “that'll help the next time you get in a hockey fight.”
My wife: “it'll just make your nuts shrink.”
So yeah, I've never had a sore throat that felt this bad but at least I'll be ripped by next week…

Feel better Jason, I'm just getting over something myself. I do hate to break it to you, but I've taken steroids many times (legally) over the years for my joints and the Olympics still has no interest in me.
Yikes. Hope you feel better soon.
My dad was on steroids while undergoing radiation and he loved it. He's 64; said he felt about 30. But I never fully appreciated the term “roid rage” until I had to live with him while he was on them. He actually did fly off the handle a lot faster, get angrier, was moodier, etc. Scary. And supremely annoying. (Of course, once he was off them, he also said that he felt like an old, old man – he noticed every ache in his joints and every pain).
I hope you don't have to be on them long enough for that to happen! Or, um, any of your family's other predictions, either. 🙂
I detect a large amount of RAGE! in your comment. So at least you've got that… 😉
So far, the only possible side effect is itchiness but if it becomes a fountain of youth for me, I'll let you know! (On the other hand, if the other predictions come true, that will be kept private.) But I've only got a week's worth so I doubt anything major will change/shift/shrink in any vital way.
