Throwback Thursday – #tbt – Zumanity (May 2012)

A person I grew up with in Indian Head was a couple years younger than me (she was my sister’s age) but her family and ours were friends so I hung out with her too.

She grew up to be a professional clown who performed in the New York, New York Cirque Show in Vegas, “Zumanity“.

Pretty cool!

Wisdom Wednesday – “Yes, but I have something he will never have…enough.”

Scott Moe Booed at the Brier

The Brier is basically Scott Moe’s base – older, white, rural – and he got booed?!?

I mean, a lot of grandparents have grandkids who are being screwed by the Sask Party’s unwillingness to negotiate in good faith with STF.  Maybe it’s finally reaching people that Moe has to go?

Music Monday – “I hope that I don’t sound to/Insane when I say there is darkness/All around us/I don’t feel weak but I do/Need sometimes for her to protect me/And reconnect me/To the beauty/That I’m missing”

January Wedding” – Avett Brothers

Secular Sunday – Bacon Is Our God

Saturday Snap – Brier Trophy

My library was fortunate enough to have the Brier Trophy present for an event last December as it made various stops around Regina and Saskatchewan in advance of the Montana Brier Tournament which has run from March 1-10.

I got my picture taken with a volunteer who kept an eye on the trophy during our event and was repping Saskatchewan with his shift – a good luck omen as Sask has been very strong in the Brier this year!

Friday Fun Link – 30 Second Hearing Test

Hit “Pause” when you can no longer hear the tone.  I got 62 years old (though my ears are a bit plugged right now to be fair) and Shea got 40.

Throwback Thursday – Retro Library Anniversary Party (September 2016)

Still one of the most fun times I’ve had working at the library – planning and presenting the retro-themed celebration for Regent Place’s 50th Anniversary…

In honour of Super Tuesday…

Happy Anniversary Shea!

What a difference twenty-one years makes – mostly in the quality of digital photography! 😉
