Music Monday – “Do you remember/The 21st night of September?/Love was changin’ the minds of pretenders/While chasin’ the clouds away”

A much younger, hipper coworker saw me in the hall before the library opened and said “Happy September 21st to all who celebrate!”

I was like “Huh?” and she started singing this song which made me realise this young whipper snapper was referring to one of the 70’s (and really, all-time) greatest uplifting positive songs and which has also become meme fodder for the young ‘uns.

I like to think that I failed an audition otherwise I could’ve been part of this short clip that popped up in the RPL socials later.
