Saskatchewan’s Best Scenic Drives (Revised Edition)

I was working in book publishing when this book was first released so glad to hear that an updated and revised edition is being released.

Saturday Snap – “Sasha’s, Not Yours”

As she gains more independence, we’ve occasionally been letting Sasha walk to the nearby convenience store to use her allowance money to buy a treat. Apparently that independence also extends to letting everyone in the family know exactly who bought the unique Warheads-flavoured soda!

Friday Fun Link – EF “Touch of the Tropics” Costa Rica Tour

Heading to the airport in the middle of the night as Pace is leaving for a 10 day Educational Foundations (EF) tour through school.  Hard to believe the day has arrived!

Throwback Thursday – #tbt – I Wonder What Their Tourism Slogan Is? (February 2008)

Given our province’s recent track record, “Access One” would probably be good enough and they wouldn’t even need to make a new sign!

Music Monday – “Experience Regina” (Well, It Was An Experience To Be in Regina This Weekend Anyhow!)

“Experience Regina” Parody (Watch It To See Some of Regina’s “Highlights”) You may have heard that Tourism Regina recently rebranded. Secular Sunday – “That’s God Blowing Your Love Around The World”

Sunday March 5 is our 20th wedding anniversary and there’s a fitting story from our Mexican Beach Wedding for Secular Sunday. We used a wedding coordinator in Mexico to make arrangements including specifically requesting a non-religious officiant. The guy showed up the day of our ceremony and it was clear that he actually was *quite* […]

Drive From Cancun Airport to Tulum

The resort we were just at was almost all the way to Tulum (which is two hours south of Cancun.). Our resort was about an hour and a half south of the Cancun airport.

Mexico Rainbow Challenge – Day Six – Indigo/Violet

Going to combine the last two colours of the rainbow in today’s post because: a) can anyone tell me the difference between indigo and violet? and b) if you can, do you think I can find two drinks that fit those two shades of purple? Her: Caribbean Princess (not on cocktail menu but I think […]

Mexico Rainbow Challenge – Day Five – Blue

Gotta admit – was looking forward to this day/colour for some reason…maybe blue just feels both unnatural as a food/drink colour but also very fitting for the tropics? Anyhow… Her: Blue Hawaiian Him: Blue Lagoon Bonus: Real Mayan Ruins (grey) in the background that you can climb up to and see up close.

Mexico Rainbow Challenge – Day Four – Green

Her: Mojito Him: Caipirinha (which I believe would be as popular as the mojito if it had a more easily pronounceable name!  Also, mine should be greener as I’ve had them with a lot more limes.)
