Friday Fun Link – Video to MP3 Convertor
Sometimes you come across a really cool song on YouTube that you know you'll never get via iTunes or even the P2P filesharing services. That's where Video2MP3.net comes in. Copy the YouTube URL into this site, hit enter and a few minutes later, there's a downloadable link to a 128kbps version of the song you […]
Happy Birthday Shea!
You don't look a day over 29 (okay, maybe one day over 29! )
Friday Fun Link – DeweyMusic (Feb 6, 2009)
The title of this site is perhaps a bit misleading, especially for us library types. So I'll let the original poster on MetaFilter take it away… “DeweyMusic makes browsing archive.org's Live Music Archive super easy.”(For anybody who doesn't know about Archive.org, I'd suggest reading its Wikipedia page or watching a talk given by the site's […]

Friday Fun Link – JustHearIt (Jan 9, 2009)
There are a few similar services out there but JustHearIt is one of the best I've seen for being able to instantly stream pretty much any song you type into it. (I'm picking fairly mainstream stuff for the most part so YMMV.)
Music Monday – "I don't need to sell my soul/He's already in me"
Various Britpop bands are currently in various states of planning their reunion tours…
A Celebrity Filled Day (Yes, In Regina)
Went over to the downtown mall for lunch today as I forgot my customary lunch o' leftovers. It was packed in the food court so I ended up sharing a table with a guy who turned out to be the guitarist from a band who were a bit of a one-hit wonder in the early […]
First Snow of the Year
I'm glad we did turkey yesterday as we were able to drive back into Regina today just in time to beat a big snowstorm that hit this afternoon. We took Pace out for a walk in the snow just now but he was *not* impressed – not sure if it's new winter boots (which he hated […]
