This should probably be a Friday Fun Link but it’s so cool, I wanted to share it right away. More than a streaming service, Radio Garden allows you to easily move from radio station to radio station around the world in a very intuitive, easy-to-use fashion (although Chrome has WebGL disabled by default so you’ll either […]

Top 15 Mannequin Challenges
This is the latest trend for all the kids. That’s cool and all but as a big Beatles fan, I’m especially excited that the song in the background is apparently called “Black Beatles“! 😉
Friday Fun Link – Google’s Infinite Drum Machine
Google has a site where you can create beats using artificial intelligence and everyday sounds. It works for me on mobile but gives an error message on my laptop advising me to use Chrome – which is the browser that I use. But anyhow, even with the weird glitch, wanted to share as it’s a […]
17 Most Insane Urban Climbs
Pace and I watched this last night. He thought it was awesome and I nearly vomited.
Friday Fun Link – Virtual Reality
At RPL’s annual Staff Development Day today (okay, yesterday since I’m posting this on Saturday), they were demoing a new Virtual Reality accessory the library recently purchased. This was the Playstation 4 version, not the more well-known Oculus Rift headset that, in many ways, began the popularization of virtual reality devices for home users. It felt pretty […]

Rory will be performing throughout the afternoon (and taking photos and signing autographs when he’s not performing), we’ll have a costume contest, retro snacks (featuring a […]

Comparing The Top NHL Players Across All Eras
A Redditor spent the summer creating a massive spreadsheet to assist in comparing the NHL’s best players across the decades. He goes into incredible detail about his methodology in his post and for the most part, it’s solid although some people point out that a team like the 1980 Oilers actually get punished for their success […]
Friday Fun Link – The Tragically Hip: A Chronology
Tomorrow’s the big night for the last Tragically Hip concert during their final cross-Canada tour so here’s a few full-length concerts from throughout their career to whet your appetite: One from their earliest days, recorded live for MuchMusic… A concert from perhaps the height of their fame during one of their Another Roadside Attraction concerts… One from the […]
