An entire hour and a half long Fred Eaglesmith concert, taped in Holland? Man, I love the Internet for so many reasons…it eliminates time, distance and provides access to stuff you’d never see otherwise. I can’t imagine what it’ll be like in 5-10 years when literally everything that’s ever been broadcast, everything we can see […]

Music Monday – “A monster, a monster/I’ve turned into a monster/A monster, a monster/And it keeps getting stronger”
Continuing with the Wrestlemania XXX theme I started yesterday, here’s a really cool video package about the rise of the underdog, Daniel Bryan, from wrestling in high school gyms and armouries to winning the WWE World Title at the 30th Anniversary Wrestlemania card in front of 80,000 screaming fans… “Monster” – Imagine Dragons
Music Monday – “I want to be a happy boy/This means you must employ my lies”
“October Swimmer” – JJ72
Saturday Snap – Sasha Eating Pudding
As I mentioned on Facebook, Sasha and I have a lot in common – we don’t wear shirts at the dinner table, we’re pretty messy eaters, and we occasionally gnaw on the bottom of containers to try to get at the food! 😉
Music Monday – “Sleep pretty darling/Do not cry/And I will sing/A lullabye”
One of my and Sasha’s go-to bedtime songs… “Golden Slumbers” – Paul McCartney
Music Monday – “Begosh and begorra/Ev’ry Irish son and daughter/Ev’ry good old Irish name and his relation”
Thanks to community radio for bringing this song to my awareness a couple days ago. Useless trivia: the song doesn’t mention “Murphy” in the long list of Irish names it features even though “Murphy” is the most common surname in Ireland. Happy St. Paddy’s everyone! “It’s A Great Day For The Irish” – Judy Garland
Friday Fun Link – “Linda! Linda! You’re Not Listening to Me!”
God, I find this funny…
Music Monday – “Music loud and women warm/I’ve been kicked around/Since I was born.”
Bruce Springsteen has been covering songs by local artists during various stops on his Australian tour – INXS, AC/DC and Lorde. Oh, and this one… “Staying Alive” – Bee Gees (Bruce Springsteen cover)
