The device in the video below was mentioned in “This Book Is Overdue: How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All!“, a book that was on my “To Read” list but which I bumped up after reading Biblioblond's review where she mentioned that a couple of our mutual friends got a shout-out in the book. Music Monday – Scallops, Anyone?
I'd never heard of a scalloped fretboard before but apparently it leads to music sounding something like this…
Music Monday – You've got a new horizon/It's ephemeral style/A melancholy town/Where we never smile.
Parody Is Not An Infrigement of Copyright (Watch It While You Can)
I wrote about this meme before. Turns out that a couple years after these parodies gave their German-language art house film some international attention, the people who made the movie have decided that the single scene used for all these parodies is an “infringement” of their work. The Masks We Wear – Jeff McBride
My mom and dad had tickets to a magic show featuring Jeff McBride, courtesy their Investors Group rep so invited Shea and I along. Not your typical Tuesday night in Regina!

I could easily do 52 weeks of Music Monday posts featuring only catchy power-pop Britpop songs circa 1995. (I do admit – this is one crappy video though – looks like a Red Hot Chili Peppers outtake. You can check out the US video for the song to see which you prefer.)
The Gift of an Ordinary Day
My sporadically-recurring blog feature “Saccharine Sunday” returns with this video which is a bit over the top (especially that piano motif in the background – gag!) but has an otherwise touching message. Even though it's aimed at middle aged, empty nester, as a relatively new parent, I enjoyed it too. Sometimes seeing Pace run down […]
Saturday Snap – "Snapping An NHL Record"
I was going to do my usual weekly picture of Pace being cute but this NHL highlight is worthy of a video version of the Saturday Snap, I think. Tonight, the Bruins scored an NHL record THREE short-handed goals during one powerplay. Having just read a CalgaryPuck thread about NHL records that will never be […]
