I had to work today so had set the PVR to record the Riders vs. Stamps Western Final CFL game. I also strategized how to not accidentally hear the score before I got home – no glimpses at Facebook on my smartphone, no checking Twitter at my break, only trying to make the most generic […]

Saturday Snap – Button, Button, Who’s Got The Button?
Regina Public Library does! And if you stop by to see me at Regent Place Library between 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. tomorrow afternoon before the big game, you too can have a Rider/Grey Cup-themed button of your own. Here’s what the table in my office looked like while I was practicing with the button making […]
Will Kids Be Playing Kronum in the Schoolyard in 50 Years Instead of Soccer or Basketball?
Kronum is a new sport that combines elements of football, rugby, basketball, handball and even Quidditch to create what players are hoping grows to become the first big league sport created in over a century. My picks for Conference Finalists: Detroit Red Wings vs. New York Islanders in the East and LA Kings vs. Minnesota Wild in the West which becomes NYI versus LA with the Kings winning.

A Few #Rider Related Thoughts on The Occasion of the #BanjoBowl
Bobby Jurasin Documentary (Featuring pre-fame Brett Butt) I was flipping through YouTube and came across a profile of my all-time favourite Rider, #71 Bobby Jurasin (which features a few cameos by a pre-“Corner Gas” Brent Butt starting around the 11:45 mark!) I got to meet Mr. Jurasin when a few of us who played with […]
Saturday Snap – Go Riders Go!
After today’s win, the Riders are 7-1, their best start since 1971. Even Sasha’s on the bandwagon, courtesy of an old outfit she inherited from her brother (first of many I’m sure!)
Friday Fun Link – The Gretzky Trade Genealogy
Today marks 25 years since the most famous trade in hockey history. Here is a genealogical chart of how that trade played out over the years…
