Exactly one year ago today, we were preparing for a very unusual Covid-birthday for Sasha, only a month after Covid hit. On April 16, we held a birthday without many of the things you’d normally have with the main thing we missed was a gathering of friends and maybe a table at Chuck E. Cheese […]

Music Monday – “Oh help me Jesus/Come through this storm/I had to lose her/To do her harm”
Shea and I are now onto “Peaky Blinders” for our latest must-watch TV series (what’s the opposite of binging where you watch one or two episodes a night, slowly, over time?) and part of the appeal is a kick-ass soundtrack… “Down By The Water” – PJ Harvey

I’m getting more and more interested in smart devices with my most recent purchase being three smart floodlights which I installed in my garage so that the neighbours can enjoy my obsession too! Easter… Calgary Flames Game Night… Anniversary of Humboldt Broncos Tragedy…

Shea and I often talk about how strange it is that librarians are one of the few professions where practitioners actively visit local examples of their workplace in other communities when traveling (she doesn’t have a strong desire to visit hospitals in other places when on a holiday – that’s for sure!). I think there’s […]
Friday Fun Link – Apple’s M1 Chip
The announcement of the new Apple M1 chip last fall finally got me to make the leap from using a ~2012-era MacBook Pro which was at the point that it was basically held together with digital duct tape and prayers to buying a new MacBook Air which arrived this week. I’ll likely share some expanded […]
Throwback Thursday – #tbt – Future Rapper? (October 2010)
Pace appears well positioned for a career making hip hop videos…
Saturday Snap – First Shorts of the Year?
For some reason, I’ve made a point to note the first day of snow every year pretty much since I started this blog. But with beautiful +14 weather on the last day of winter, I wonder if I missed an opportunity to also record the first day I wore shorts outside each spring?
