Friday Fun Link – @officialRPL Mother’s Day Video

This RPL Mother’s Day video is great! It makes me excited for RPL Father’s Day video next month where various dads who work for the system try not to get emotional while reading passages from “Fight Club” to our children. 😉   Just kidding – this video is great and I know I can’t get […]

Saturday Snap – Beautiful Cinco De Mayo Supper by @tropemxfood Hosted By @prairiecherry Over the Hill Orchard

Shea saw on social media that their was a cancellation for the first of the weekly “Supper in the Orchard” events at Over The Hill Orchards just outside Regina so snatched it up. We’ve been out to Over The Hill Orchards once before for a Mother’s Day Brunch event but their restaurant area has undergone […]

Music Monday – “Just make your friends/While you’re still young/Before you can’t see through/Anyone.”

“Trick Rider” – Gord Downie

First Sign of Spring (Literally)

For some it’s robins. Most depart south by the end of August and begin to return north in February and March (exact dates vary with latitude and climate). For others, it’s crocuses. Crocuses typically appear shortly after the snow melts, sometime around April 1st-21st.  Blooms only last for two weeks, so the window to see […]

Music Monday – “There are things that make me dad/You seem to be all of them.”

On April 12, 2013, we took a series of family photos knowing that Shea was due in a few weeks. Four days later, Sasha arrived. (Tomorrow’s her actual birthday but we celebrated it today which is why I’m posting this one day early.)

Throwback Thursday – #tbt – #JerseysForHumboldt (February 2009) #HumboldtStrong #JerseyDay

Today, I wore the same jersey today that I’ve worn for years but for a less happy reason than skating with my son nearly a decade ago…

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Have a great day!!!

Calgary Librarian Gives Up City Career To Run Family Farm in Saskatchewan

Technically, I could also give up my library career to go back to run our family farm.  But since I’m still scarred from misjudging the width of a swather and driving it into a power pole as a young man, I think I’ll stick with books and computers instead of barley and combines! 😉 Anyhow, […]

10 (More) Things I Want in an All-Inclusive

A few years back, I did a post where I listed 10 things that were important to us when selecting an all-inclusive resort for our vacations. That list, in no particular order, included the following: Multiple/big pools Decent, non-repetitive food Beautiful beach Unique bars Kids Club Oceanview Room A la carte restaurants Wifi Nearby city/attractions […]
