Friday Fun Link – Oilers Good Luck Charm(s)?

Throwback Thursday – #tbt – It’s My Fault (February 2022)

I’m not superstitious but…I may have fucking jinxed the Flames and boosted the Oilers when I jokingly whipped a Flames toque out of my pocket and put it on in front of the Oilers symbol when we were at Rogers Place in Edmonton in February 2022.

I’m sorry hockey gods.  Please accept my humble apologies and let the Panthers win the Cup!

Wisdom Wednesday – The Ultimate Power Move

I didn’t actually find this through a polygamy account (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) but the sentiment holds – the best way to lead a more authentic, unashamed life is to try to live without secrets but instead being transparent, open and unconcerned with others who try to control you.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

Before the Stanley Cup finals began, Flames fans debated which would be more heartbreaking for Oilers fans (our love is like that.) – either a complete sweep or a heartbreaking loss in Game 7, preferably OT.

The consensus was that the sweep would be easier on everyone’s hearts but a Game 7 loss for the Oilers would be more legendary for destroying the Oilers.

Well, the sweep is off the table after the Oilers came back from 3-0 to make it 3-2 after the last couple games.  Florida still has one more chance to put it away in Game Six (which would be a lot better for my heart) but honestly, now it feels like we’re going to Game Seven which is always going to be a coin flip.

Fuck me.

Music Monday – “Now I am stuck between my anger and the blame that I can’t face/And memories are somethin’ even smoking weed does not replace/And I am terrified of weather ’cause I see you when it rains/Doc told me to travel, but there’s Covid on the planes”

Stick Season” – Noah Kahan

Saturday Snap – Farewell to Aunt Sandi

My mom’s sister has returned to Regina from Kelowna to stay with us for a month every spring pretty much every year since Pace was born.  But since mom was diagnosed with dementia, these visits have become a lot more meaningful.
