One great thing about our year in Ontario for library school was we tried to get away as much as we could on weekends and during semester breaks to various destinations in the area. Probably our biggest trip was during a semester break when we took the train to Montreal. A highlight was throwing together […]
Buy a six pack of Sol at the liquor store, some limes at the grocery store, and put beach videos on the TV. 🙁 (But hey, at least we’re being safer than overly entitled snowbirds!)
Normally, Saturday Snap is a pic I’ve taken but I came across this on social media and decided to post it… We’ve been fortunate to do a winter holiday for the past few years so now that we’re into February, it’s starting to hit me that this won’t be happening this year (doesn’t help that […]
Four years ago this week, we were on our way to a ski trip in Manitoba. It was hard to know what the next four years would bring but we listened to Trump’s “American Carnage” Inaugural Address on the drive up and that provided a big clue. Such a relief that he’s gone.

Hard to believe Oasis’ “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory” album is 25 years old being released in the fall of 1995. Oasis was basically a one-hit wonder in North America for most people but I was fortunate to be in England in fall 1995 on a University exchange which was during the height of the […]
After last week’s post thinking back to the last time I think I traveled to the US, I thought it’d be fun to also highlight what was probably my favourite US trip ever for another “Throwback Thursday” post. I was very fortunate to have parents who loved traveling and growing up, I got to travel […]
With the Canada-US border closed for the foreseeable future, I was trying to figure out the last time I went to the States. For awhile there in the early 2010’s, I’d say we ended up going about once or twice a year, either to Williston which is just over the border or Minot, which is […]
