So I joined the Prom Planning Committee for Pace’s graduating class. Kids today are much more environmentally conscious but in 1991 when I graduated, I do believe high school proms was a Top 10 contributor to the hole in the ozone layer!

Pretty fun event featuring world-renowned hoop dancer Terrance Littletent and two performers who had previously been with Cirque du Soleil telling a story of cultures coming together.  Music by the amazing Andino Suns.  MCd by longtime friends of my inlaws.  And the food was pretty awesome too!

Virtual Reality attempts to give caregivers a simulation of what dementia feels like. (On a completely unrelated note, after spending some time in a car killing time with my dementia-suffering mother while dad was in a medical appointment, I feel like I have direct insight into Donald Trump’s speech patterns!)

My mom’s sister has returned to Regina from Kelowna to stay with us for a month every spring pretty much every year since Pace was born.  But since mom was diagnosed with dementia, these visits have become a lot more meaningful.
