“There’s No Place Like Dildo” Can you imagine? So booorrrring! Did they not realise what a goldmine of a city name they were sitting on compared to most Canadian cities? The right slogan and boom – right to Jimmy Kimmel! (Gotta be honest – when Shea and I were in Newfoundland for a wedding about […]
“Experience Regina” Parody (Watch It To See Some of Regina’s “Highlights”) You may have heard that Tourism Regina recently rebranded. It started with a teaser clip and message on social media at the start of March: It’s All Happening… Let’s push the narrative; the same old is boring. Our city is changing, and that means […]
Yes, we were in the Mayan Riviera, not Varadero. Yes, I technically quit drinking booze at the end of last August (but with the caveat that I *mostly* quit which allows me to still imbibe occasionally – or more than occasionally if I’m at an all-inclusive resort!) But yes, this drink we invented a few […]
The resort we were just at was almost all the way to Tulum (which is two hours south of Cancun.). Our resort was about an hour and a half south of the Cancun airport.
Since I said Indigo/Violet were being combined in my Rainbow Challenge, I was hoping to do a final post for day seven of some multi-coloured drinks – the Bob Marley and the Toucan we had at Moon Palace were the drinks I had in mind… Unfortunately, the drinks I got weren’t quite as perfectly formed…

Gotta admit – was looking forward to this day/colour for some reason…maybe blue just feels both unnatural as a food/drink colour but also very fitting for the tropics? Anyhow… Her: Blue Hawaiian Him: Blue Lagoon Bonus: Real Mayan Ruins (grey) in the background that you can climb up to and see up close.
Her: Mojito Him: Caipirinha (which I believe would be as popular as the mojito if it had a more easily pronounceable name! Also, mine should be greener as I’ve had them with a lot more limes.)
Her: Pineapple Mojito Him: Pineapple Mojito (They’re really good!)
Him = Bay Breeze Her = Mai Tai (And I think it was the lighting or the cups or maybe even my shirt absorbing all the orange in the room. But you’ll have to trust me that these drinks were more orange than yellow – honest!)
