Friday Fun Link – The Scientific Case For Two Spaces After A Period

This.  Is.  Vindication.  For Myself.  And everyone.  Who took.  Typing.  On a manual typewriter.  In grade 10.  In 1989. (Even Google agrees!) Google Translate puts two spaces after the end of a sentence by inmildlyinfuriating There might even be a free speech argument for two spaces after a period?!?

Throwback Thursday – #tbt – Earth Friendly (July 2008)

Saskatchewan’s Best Scenic Drives (Revised Edition)

I was working in book publishing when this book was first released so glad to hear that an updated and revised edition is being released.

Music Monday – “We’ve come so far and we’ve reached so high/And we’ve looked each day and night in the eye/And we’re still so young and we hope for more/But remember this…”

Howard Donald (55) is the oldest member of Take That who performed as a trio at the Coronation Concert yet with his shaggy haircut and grey beard, he is the one I resemble the most. Hell, even their slow-mo dance steps are a far cry from their energetic boy band routines in the mid-1990s in […]

Throwback Thursday – #tbt – “I Am *Not* Napping IN Here!” (May 2013)

I feel like posting this picture online is enough to get a call to the authorities! 😉

Throwback Thursday – #tbt – Drop Everything And Read, Regina Coronation Park (April 2017) #skpoli

By most accounts, Sask Party MLA Mark Docherty was a decent dude. I know I always enjoyed my interactions with him – when he would come to the library I was working at for events or programs or when I would bump into him at community events or whatever. Given his background and resume, I’ve […]

Throwback Thursday – #tbt – My First Gmail Message (June 2004)

Not sure how I stumbled upon this but poking around my Gmail account recently (which I have used since day one as my secondary account for entering contests, subscribing to newsletters I’ll never read and generally trying to target spam there so rarely look at it), I found the first message I ever sent to […]

Why The Flames Sucked This Year (It’s A Long List)

Now that the playoffs have started and the Flames, who were predicted to be a top team at the start of the season, missed making the playoffs in the final week of the season. That means they end up in their traditional “absolutely middle of the pack” position they usually get in years they suck, […]
