It feels like a lot more than a year ago that our offer on a new house was accepted. But the truth is that it was only a year ago this week that it became official.
At the time, who knew this new house would become so much more than a slightly newer, slightly bigger, slightly better house than our home of 15 years that we’d be leaving behind?
But when the pandemic hit, we *really* appreciated what this new house offered in a way we might not have otherwise…
* The south-facing office (big window to the left of the door in this photo) which was great for working from home.
* The fact that this house backs onto a park-like green space allowing us to take long walks in a natural setting without having to either walk or take a long drive to do so.
* All sorts of upgraded features like a nicer kitchen, attached garage, jetted tub and not one but two fireplaces among various other things that helped to make day-to-day living much more enjoyable.
