Music Monday – “Take me to the place where you go/Where nobody knows/If it’s night or day/Please don’t put your life in the hands/Of a rock ‘n’ roll band/Who’ll throw it all away.”

“(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” was released thirty years ago this week and after years of acrimony, Oasis is in the middle of a massive reunion tour with rumours that it’s going to be extended into 2026.

One of the major highlights of my entire life was being in England in fall 1995 during the height of the “Cool Brittannia” movement, the Britpop wars between Oasis and Blur, and just the general sense of optimism and joy that took over an entire country.
