Music Monday – “Raising hell with the hippies and the cowboys/They don’t care about no trends/They don’t care about songs that sell”

When we’re camping in Weyburn I can’t help but think how I’m basically the hippie surrounded by a big herd of cowboys.

But the point of this song stands – people who seem to be opposites can still get along if they see their commonality in defining their own tastes without giving in to trends or peer pressure or whatever.

(Of course, arguably the type of music Cody Jinks and Tyler Childers and Colter Wall *is* trendy right now but that’s a separate blog post.)

Anyhow, here’s one of my current favourite camping songs…
