The only thing that’s made the Flames’ amazing season better is watching the ongoing dumpster fire that is their provincial rivals, the Edmonton Oilers, not just this year but over the past ten years.
The smugness and arrogance in this clip from Oilers’ Old Boys Club management is an oldie but a goldie (oh, and by the way, the Oilers’ last Stanley Cup was in 1990 and they’re about to miss the playoffs again this year having missed every season but one since 2006 (which tied a futility record). In 2006, they did make it to the Finals in a Cinderella run but end up losing in the Stanley Cup finals, all while having more #1 overall draft picks and high draft picks over a short period of time than any team in history.)
