I wish I’d watched this video before we took the kids to a local carnival a couple weeks ago.
I’ve always known the games were rigged towards the operator and had a general sense of how they are – mostly by playing with the size and shape of the game pieces – smaller rims, longer distances, tinier holes or whatever – but Pace really wanted to play a couple games before we left for the night.
So I blew about $20 to win a rainbow coloured ball (at least it wasn’t another stuffed animal!) that I could’ve got online for about $3 (and I’m sure the carnival buys in bulk so their price point is a lot less than that.)
Oh well, can you really put a price on memories? 😉
