Other than both happening in Canada, both being unexpected, and both resulting in large losses of life, there aren’t many similarities between the tragedy in Humboldt earlier this month and the one in Toronto last night.
But the fact that both happened only a couple weeks apart when it feels like events of this type are relatively rare in Canada has given me a feeling of tragedy fatigue.
