Breastbook?

Facebook has been censoring photos of breastfeeding mothers.  If you believe breastfeeding is a non-sexual, natural thing (and that your eyes won't melt if you catch the corner of a boob in a photo), there's a Facebook group you can join to show your support.

I have a feeling this will be Shea's next profile picture…

Oooooh, you know just how to get me going, Jason. It's a shame you can only sign up to any group once. I feel a nasty letter coming on, to the folks what run Facebook…thanks for the info!

I noticed on your mini-feed that you did your best to join multiple times even if they don't let you!
It's kind of sad that this group only gets ~10 000 members and some of those dumb “Join This Group If You Think Britney Spears Is Crazy!” get way more members.
I guess that reflects Facebook's user base and their priorities.

I think the biggest joke of this whole thing is how many “Hot Chicks” groups there are on Facebook that don't get taken down or censored. In fact, there's a whole thread on the breastfeeding group dedicated to tracking some of the most offensive ones – beyond the heaving cleavage, bikini shots that are perfectly fine by Facebook's standards, people are finding people who have naked pictures of both men and women in their profiles.
I'm sure Facebook would take those down if they knew about them but the point is that there's a level of hypocrisy to this whole thing that's pretty typical of (gross generalization) American society.
