“Peaky Blinders” Trailer (and some quick thoughts on what makes a series bingeable)

As mentioned yesterday, Peaky Blinders is Shea and my’s current viewing obsession.

Here’s a taste…

Watching this show now and over the years, a series of buzzed upon shows ranging from “Breaking Bad” to “The Wire” to “Sons of Anarchy” to “Yellowstone” along with various others which fit in that “Must Watch” category, I wondered if there were any commonalities…

* Strong writing (of course)
* Cool soundtrack, whether Americana (Yellowstone) or British Alternative (Peaky Blinders)
* Usually centered around family dynamics (Breaking Bad), workplace dynamics (The Wire) or both (Yellowstone)
* Ensemble casts but usually a strong young male is the main protagonist
* Often has a strong-willed female mother/sister
* Crime and violence are inherent elements to almost every bingeable drama
* Multi-season arcs with escalating stakes each season
* Unexpected deaths of main characters
* Multiple shocking twists

Those are a few off the top of my head.  What am I missing?
