An annual tradition on this blog is the posting of this Hawksley Workman song which perfectly captures the joy that comes with the first snowfall of the year. I also realised this also makes an informal weather history…
2012- October 10
2011 – November 6
2010 – October 26
2009 – October 8
2008 – October 12
2007 – (didn’t record – or at least with words/tags I can easily find on my old blog)
2006 – (didn’t record but I did have one of my favourite posts of all-time (okay two) after a huge blizzard in early December left me stranded at a end-of-year class party in Li’l London and Shea stepped in to keep my “consecutive days posting” streak going!)

2006? That was so long ago, but seems like just yesterday. Also one of my favourite blog-comment conversations of all time.
Library school clearly made us delirious. Um, I mean … funny?

It was pretty funny, wasn’t it? And also agree that it’s hard to believe how much time has flown – Shea and I were childless, jobless. I still liked to stay out past my bedtime drinking beer with colleagues though!

Hilarious posts by Shea (and your follow-ups/rebuttals)! How did I miss those…

It was pretty early in the blog 1.0′s existence when I didn’t have much of an audience beyond classmates and some profs.
Actually, I kinda miss those early carefree days when I had a smaller audience. Not that I censor myself (too much) on this blog but it does have an impact when you know that your co-workers and supervisors are checking in. (I know one co-worker who had a really great blog but stopped blogging because of worries about how that could impact her at work.)
