Sad Sunday – Michael Layton & Sarah Campbell’s Eulogies For Their Father

We were away camping this weekend so I just got to see Jack Layton’s funeral tonight when we got home.

It’s hard to choose a saddest or most touching moment from Jack Layton’s funeral on Saturday.  But the videos below were definitely two of them.

As documented on this blog, I’ve had the honour of eulogizing three of my four grandparents.  But I don’t know if I’d be able to do it for either of my parents.  I’m a big emotional marshmallow at the best of times and found it tough enough to get through the eulogies for my grandparents.  I can’t imagine how hard it must be to do this for a parent – and maybe that’s why I found these so touching…
