The 5 Most Annoying Programs on Your PC

1. Acrobat Reader
2. iTunes
3. RealPlayer
4. Internet Explorer
5. Microsoft Outlook

Yet how many libraries rely on two or three of these programs, both for their PAC's and for their staff computers?

Bang on! Except for iTunes, which I don't use and for which I have no comment, the others are all annoying and I have been avoiding them for years (in the case of IE and Outlook, over a decade).
Talking to some people at MLIS orientation today, it would seem that Windows Vista is up there, too.

Yep, many manufacturers are now allowing customers to downgrade from the included Vista OS back to Windows XP. How crazy is that?
I've avoided most of these programs as much as possible as well but do get into situations where it's harder. At my current workplace, we're only supposed to use IE and Outlook for some reason. That didn't stop me from installing Firefox but I am surviving with Outlook.
