Happy Six Month Birthday Pace!

You hear it from everybody but there's still no way to prepare for how quickly the time flies.  Six months already.  Wow.  (Full disclosure – the picture on the right is from his THREE month birthday.  I don't have a current version of this shot but will get one next weekend.)

Latest milestone – crawling! – which started two days ago.  I try not to be competitive and get into that “my baby can do this early, my baby can't do that yet” stuff since we pretty much all learn to walk and talk eventually, right?

But I still take a measure of pride that he's on the early edge of the scale for crawling which happens somewhere between 6-10 months.

In completely unrelated news, this is pretty damn funny.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade — Pace is probably going to be great at everything, like his folks — but I just thought I'd share a bit.
There is a girl in our neighborhood who was walking at 6 months!!!
Now aside from being way ahead of the curve in this respect she was in every other way an average 6 month old. Matters of judgement, interest and awareness, not to mention body type and shape, were not advanced or unusual. Her parents were run pretty ragged.
Now, try to picture Pace running around on two legs without any help. It actually looks really funny and odd when a 6 month old is doing it. Almost disturbing in a “creepy doll” sort of way.
    Cheers

Holy crap – that's crazy! I can't imagine what it would be like if Pace could walk right now. Frightening and not just for the creepy doll aspect – I can barely keep track of him on all fours, let alone two!
